Achraf Hakimi has reiterated his desire to prove himself at Real Madrid next season.

The Morocco international is currently on-loan at Borussia Dortmund until the end of the 2019-20 season, having joined the German Bundesliga club on a two-year loan deal in 2018.

According to Le10Sport, Hakimi prefers a return to the Santiago Bernabeu at the end of the current campaign and hopes to play for Zinedine Zidane’s side next season.

The Morocco international has been subject to growing transfer speculation with several clubs interest in signing the 21-year-old on a permanent basis.

Hakimi’s current deal in the Spanish capital expires in 2021, but he reportedly remains eager to try and work himself into the Real starting XI and subsequently earn a new contract.

The versatile fullback has established himself as one of the brightest young stars in Europe while flourishing in a more advanced role for Dortmund this season.

Hakimi has scored seven goals and assisted a further 10 in 37 appearances across all competitions in the current campaign and looks sure for a very bright future.
