Nigeria Football Association (NFF) president Amaju Pinnick says it is difficult to convince him that Tammy Abraham is better than Victor Osimhen.
Pinnick attempted to convince Chelsea marksman Abraham to pledge his international future to Nigeria before he became cap-tied to England in 2019.
Tammy, who was born in England to parents of Nigerian descent, has since impressed in the English Premier League having netted 13 goals in 25 matches this season.
While Osimhen was one of the best strikers in the French Ligue 1 during the 2019/20 season – scoring 13 goals in 27 matches.
“We have Osimhen that is doing very well, I cannot tell you that Tammy Abraham is better than Osimhen, it’s not possible,” Pinnick said on All Nigeria Soccer.
“Let us watch and see the future of these players, we are happy and very contented with what we have right now,
“The only thing we need to do is consolidate and build a very strong Super Eagles that can contest for the qualifying rounds and World Cup proper, we have a very young team.”
France announced that the 2019/20 Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 campaigns would not resume last week, after the country banned all sporting events until September.
