On the occasion of his 68th birthday, we take a look back at Roger Milla’s iconic performances at back-to-back FIFA World Cup tournaments in the 1990’s.

The Cameroon football legend changed the way we celebrate goals with his iconic dance celebration at the corner flag and is until today the oldest goalscorer in FIFA World Cup history.

Milla found the back of the net against Russia at the 1994 showpiece in the United States of America at the age of 42 years and 39 days old and while his record will stand the test of time, he will most fondly be remembered for lighting up the 1990 World Cup tournament hosted in Italy.

The two-time African Footballer of the Year emerged as one of the tournaments brightest stars as the Indomitable Lions reached the quarterfinals. In total, he scored four goals at the tournament and will forever carry legendary status as one of Africa’s true football greats.
