On the day of his 31st birthday, we relive one of Adel Taarabt’s best goals for Queens Park Rangers.

A football enigma if there ever was one, Taarabt was one of the best football players in the world on his day. Unfortunately, his days were few and far between and while he has made a comeback at Benfica, football fans will always wonder what could’ve been.

Taarabt was unstoppable in QPR’s run to the English Championship title in the 2010/11 season: scoring 19 goals and assisting an incredible 21 on his way to being named the Football League Player of the Year.

The world was at his feet, but Taarabt never lived up to his expectations, but just as the world started to forget about him, he made a comeback. Now playing in a deeper role, Taarabt has been a regular for Benfica this season as they eye back-to-back league titles.
