French champions Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly stepped up their pursuit of Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
According to Todofichajes, PSG are negotiating a €38 million deal for the Gabon international.
Aubameyang, who will enter the final year of his contract in North London at the end of the month, has been heavily linked with a move away from Emirates Stadium with several clubs including Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester City, Manchester United and Inter said to be interested in his services.
The 30-year-old has been prolific throughout his Arsenal career and since joining the club from Borussia Dortmund in January 2018, he has scored 61 times in 97 matches across all competitions.
Aubameyang’s Arsenal contract expires in June 2021 and with reports claiming that he is unlikely to pen an extension, the English Premier League club will need to decide if they choose to cash in on their club captain at the end of the current campaign or risk losing him for free next year.
With growing interest in the speedy forward and no progress on a new contract it seems highly unlikely that he will be playing for Arsenal next season as things stand.
