Mamelodi Sundowns have announced that Thapelo Morena and Gaston Sirino have both signed contract extensions with the Brazilians until 2025.
Morena joined Sundowns from Bloemfontein Celtic in 2016 and has over the last few seasons established himself as an integral member of Pitso Mosimane’s plans, operating successfully in various positions across the pitch.
The 26-year-old is currently recovering from serious injury, having suffered a fracture and ligament damage to his right ankle in February.
Likewise, Sirino is an important member of Mosimane’s future plans with the Uruguayan one of the best players in South Africa’s top-flight over the last two years.
“I am happy to extended my contract at the club, me and my family are happy and settled here in Mzansi so that gives me comfort to push hard on the pitch,” Sirino is quoted as saying by the club’s official website.
“I believe my best years are ahead of me, and am confident we will add trophies with this group of players.”
Mosimane himself signed a new four year deal last month as Sundowns aim to continue their domestic dominance for the foreseeable future.
