Apart from their goal scoring prowess, African players in LaLiga are also known for their hard-work, resilience and commitment to the game and their teams.
Now, let’s take a close look at the players who have appeared the most for their sides this season.

After making the move to Spain, it seems that Cameroonian footballer – Zambo Anguissa is establishing himself as one of the most dynamic players this season. He’s made 25 LaLiga appearances, scored one goal and has made quite the impact on his team with his ability to utilise both offensive and defensive skills. Another standout is Ghanaian Thomas Partey, who is contributing to his teams’ success with 24 starts so far this season and weighing in with goals in both the Champions League and domestically.
Ivorian forward Lago Junior has made 24 appearances for RCD Mallorca where he has found the back of the net 4 times. This is the first season he plays in LaLiga Santander and has solidified his position in Los Bermellones attacking line. As we near the return of the campaign he will be hoping to fire his side out of the relegation zone and keep them in Spain’s top tier league.
The impact that our African football players have made in LaLiga is a testament to the potential that exists on our continent. The need to develop this talent is of great importance. It is a cause that LaLiga fully supports, evident through their continued ongoing investment in Africa.
