Nigeria international Tunde Adeniji has urged his compatriot Victor Osimhen to snub English and Spanish clubs.
Osimhen, who is on the books of OSC Lille, has been linked with the biggest football clubs in Europe after impressing during the 2019/20 French Ligue 1 season.
Hungary-based Adeniji feels that Osimhen would flourish at a club like SSC Napoli where he would get regular game time.
“I have been following Osimhen’s performance in Europe, he’s doing well,” Adeniji told All Nigeria Soccer.
“I would like him to play for Napoli if he leaves Lille because he will have more playing time, he has all the qualities.
Adeniji, who plays for Debrecen, explained that former Italian champions Napoli do not have big names in their attack.
“They don’t have big names in their attack in Napoli and he will play very well in the team,” he added.
“Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United, Tottenham, Barcelona and Real Madrid he’s being linked with have good strikers who have made a name for themselves, and Osimhen is too young for the pressure now, so I prefer he joins Napoli.”
Adeniji has also caught the eye in Hungary having netted 12 goals across all competitions for Debrecen this season.
The 24-year-old forward has four Nigeria senior national team caps.
