Nigeria international Moses Simon has completed his permanent move to former French champions Nantes FC.
The speedy forward spent the 2019/20 season loan at Nantes from Spanish La Liga side Levante.
Simon, who has scored five goals in 33 matches for Nigeria, has inked a deal that will start on July 1 and it will run through until 2024.
“FC Nantes has exercised the purchase option from the Spanish Levante Unión Deportiva (La Liga) club for the definitive transfer of Moses Simon (24) to FC Nantes.”
“Loaned to the Yellow and Green this season, the Nigerian international will be linked to the Erdre Banks Club until 2024, from July 1, 2020.”
“He has been instrumental throughout this season. Most prolific offensive player (9 goals and 8 assists, all competitions).”
“Moses Simon quickly adapted to French football, causing a lot of damage in the opposing defenses,” a club statement read.
Simon was named in Nigeria’s preliminary 30-man squad for the 2018 FIFA World Cup finals, but he did not make the final 23 due to injury.
He was included in the country’s 23-man squad for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) finals.
