Morocco international Achraf Hakimi’s performances have impressed Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane.
The full-back has been one of the best players in the German Bundesliga this season while on loan at Borussia Dortmund from Spanish giants Madrid.
Hakimi’s exploits have reportedly attracted interest from German champions Bayern Minch and English giants Manchester United.
Zidane explained that he was “happy” with how Hakimi has developed during his two-year loan spell at Dortmund.
However, the French tactician did not indicate whether the 21-year-old player will be returning to Madrid when his loan deal ends at the end of this month.
“We know the season that he is doing, and I am happy for him,” Zidane told the press conference according to Goal.
“Because in the end he needed to go out, play, make many games, and that is what he is doing,” he told a news conference.
“I think that all of us here [at Madrid], and they there [at Dortmund], we are happy with Hakimi.”
After representing Morocco at under-17 and under-20 levels, Achraf made his debut for the under-23s on 5 June 2016, in a 1-0 friendly win over Cameroon U23s.
The Madrid-born player has played 28 games for the Morocco senior national team and scored twice.
