Bafana Bafana midfielder Bongani Zungu has attracted reported interest from Scottish Premiership giants Rangers.
According to France Football as reported by KickOff.com, Rangers head coach and Liverpool legend, Steven Gerrard, has made enquiries about the former AmaTuks and Mamelodi Sundowns star.
Zungu looks set to leave French club Amiens at the conclusion of the 2019/20 season after the club’s relegation to French Ligue 2 was confirmed earlier this month.
The 27-year-old, who has also attracted said interest from Strasbourg, came close to joining Spanish club Real Mallorca in January.
Rangers will have to reportedly fork out around €3 million in order to sign the South Africa international who joined Amiens from Vitória Guimarães SC three years ago. He has scored two goals in 57 matches for the French club.
