Tunisian star Hamdi Nagguez has officially joined reigning African champions Esperance de Tunis from Egyptian giants Zamalek.

Nagguez, who is a right-back by trade, has joined the Tunisian giants on a three-year contract following a one-year spell with the White Knights.

Esperance released the following statement regarding the former Etoile du Sahel defender:

“‘Espérance de Tunis today formalized the arrival of the right-back Hamdi Nagguez.”

“The 27-year-old Tunisian international signed a three-year contract binding him to the blood and gold club until June 2023, after having successfully passed his medical examination.”

“He played in the colours of the Star of the Sahel [Etoile du Sahel], the Zamalek of Egypt and the Lithuanian FK Sūduva Marijampolė will be qualified from September 15, 2020, the opening date of the summer transfer window.”

“However, he will not be able to participate in the remaining matches of the 2019/2020 championship season.”

“Welcome to Hamdi Nagguez and good luck,” a club statement read.

Nagguez helped Zamalek win two Egyptian Cups, CAF Confederation Cup and Egyptian-Saudi Super Cup.
