On this day in 2010, Spain were celebrating their maiden FIFA World Cup win after beating the Netherlands 1-0 in the final at FNB Stadium the night before.
The World Cup was the first hosted on African soil and produced some stunning goals across the 31 days of action, assisted by the unpredictable swerve of the Adidas Jabulani ball.
