Percy Tau has said his goodbyes to Club Brugge.
The Bafana Bafana forward has confirmed his departure from the Belgium Pro League champions and will reportedly reveal his next move in the near future.
Tau joined the Belgian champions on loan from English Premier League club Brighton & Hove Albion last year. In total, he scored four goals and assisted eight more in 30 appearances across all competitions, in what proved to be a fruitful campaign for the Bruges club.
“I’d like to take this moment to say thank you to the players, technical team, entire staff and supporters for a successful loan spell @ClubBrugge, I thank you,” Tau tweeted and posted on Instagram.
Tau signed for Brighton from Mamelodi Sundowns two years ago, but is yet to make a single appearance for the Seagulls.
The 26-year-old spent the 2018/19 season on-loan at Belgian second division club Royale Union Saint Gilloise where he was named as the Proximus League’s Player of the Season.
Brighton currently occupy 15th place on the Premier League standings, six points above the relegation zone and set for another season in England’s top-flight.
