Egypt international Mahmoud Ahmed Hassan, commonly known as Trézéguet, scored the solitary goal in Aston Villa’s 1-0 win over Arsenal on Tuesday evening.

The 25-year-old’s goal came in the 27th minute of the game with his half volley from a corner-kick securing what could be the decisive three points in keeping Villa from dropping back into the Championship.

Victory moved Villa up to 17th place on the English Premier League standings and top-flight survival in their own hands heading into the final round of fixtures.

Trézéguet has now scored three goals in his last three games for the club, having also netted a brace in their 2-0 win over Crystal Palace earlier this month.
