Arsenal FC starlet Bukayo Saka is open to representing both Nigeria and England.
However, the 18-year-old left-sided player admitted that he is yet to make up his mind on the country of his choice.
This comes after the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) president Amaju Pinnick made it clear that they will not beg the winger or any player to represent the Super Eagles.
Born in England, Saka is of Nigerian descent and he has represented the European country at under-16, under-17, under-18 and under-19 level.
“It’s a tough choice,” Saka was quoted as saying on Sky Sports.
“I’m happy to have represented England at youth level but I’m also proud of my Nigerian heritage from my parents.
“We haven’t been picked by any team so it’s about staying humble and when the time comes we’ll make the decision.”
Saka has hit the ground running in his debut season in the English Premier League and he is one of the Gunners’ regulars.
The left-back-cum-left winger has hit the back of the net once and registered five assists in the English top-flight league.
He signed a new long-term contract with Arsenal on 01 July 2020.
