Bayer Leverkusen have refuted claims that they are interested in signing Andre Onana.
According to Dutch outlet Voetbal International, the German Bundesliga club are keen on adding the Ajax Amsterdam goalkeeper to their squad but Leverkusen sporting director Simon Rolfes has since rejected such rumours.
Rolfes said that Die Werkselff had not submitted a €20 million bid for the Cameroon international. stating that he was impressed with Lukas Hradecky throughout the campaign.
“Lukas played a good season. We have a good keeper. Onana is not an issue,” Rolfes told Kicker.
The 24-year-old came through the ranks at Barcelona where he played for the club’s Under-19’s before moving to Amsterdam in 2015.
Onana has been linked with a move back to Spain while Chelsea are also said to be interested in the shot-stopper who has kept 74 clean sheets in 178 appearances for Ajax.
