Arsenal target Amadou Diawara scored his first goal for AS Roma in a 3-2 win over Torino on Wednesday evening.
According to The Sun, Mikel Arteta has earmarked the Guinea international as a possible alternative to Ghana’s Thomas Partey.
Diawara, 23, joined Roma from rivals Napoli last year and having initially struggled to break into the starting XI, he has become a regular for the capital club.
Victory for Giallorossi in Turin confirmed a fifth place finish for the club in Serei A ahead of the final weekend of league fixtures for the 2019/20 season.
An unbeaten run of seven matches comes as a timely boost for the club as they now turn their focus to finishing off the season with a positive result away to Juventus before taking on Sevilla in the Europa League.
