Algeria international Ismael Bennacer has opened up about working with Swedish superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic at AC Milan.
Ibrahimovic rejoined the Italian giants in January 2020 after parting ways with Major League Soccer (MLS) side Los Angeles Galaxy.
The 38-year-old marksman has caught the eye by scoring nine goals and registered five assists in 17 competitive appearances at Milan.
Ibrahimivic is in his second spell with Rossoneri having scored 56 goals in 85 competitive appearances in his first stint with the club between 2010 and 2012.
Bennacer, who has established himself as a key player at Rossoneri, joked that Ibrahimovic could kill someone who doesn’t pass to him.
“He helps you a lot. With him there, you want to do more, you don’t want to lose a ball,” Bennacer told Sky Sports Italia.
“You must give your best because he is looking for perfection, and if you don’t give it, he’ll kill you.
“He’s like that, but he’s right. It’s right to scream when you make a mistake and not say anything when you do well,” he added.
“That’s how you learn and become a player at the highest level.”
A 22-year-old dynamic central midfielder, Bennacer has made 30 appearances in the Serie A for Milan this season and also netted once in four Coppa Italia matches.
Ibrahimovic won the Serie A title and Italian Super Cup in 2011 with Milan and Bennacer will be hoping to win major trophies with the accomplished striker.
