Bafana Bafana forward Percy Tau has arrived in Belgium ahead of his loan move to Anderlecht.
According to SuperSport.com, the 26-year-old was spotted arriving in Brussels on Monday morning. His flight to Belgium was delayed due to difficulties surrounding travel from South Africa with the country still under strict lockdown regulations amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Tau will spend a third straight season on-loan from English Premier League club Brighton & Hove Albion. After a successful year with Royale Union St Gilloise in Belgium’s second tier where he was named as the best player, Tau then spent a season with Club Brugge where he won the Belgian Pro League title.
Anderlecht finished the 2019/20 season in eighth place, 27 points behind Brugge who were declared champions after 29 matches with the season called off prematurely due to COVID-19.
Tau will work with former Manchester City captain Vincet Kompany in Anderlecht. Kompany was named as player-coach last year.
The Purple & White kick-off their 2020/21 campaign away to Mechelen on Sunday.
