Nigeria international Kelechi Iheanacho never misses a penalty according to his compatriot Wilfred Ndidi.
However, English marksman Jamie Vardy is preferred ahead of Iheanacho as Leicester City’s designated penalty taker.
Iheanacho showed what he is capable of when he converted from the spot-kick for Leicester in their Carabao Cup match against Wolverhampton Wanderers in September 2018.
His Leicester teammate Ndidi revealed that he has never seen the left-footed striker miss a penalty.
“Kelechi’s never missed a penalty. I’ve never seen him miss a penalty,” Ndidi told Leicester Mercury.
Leicester’s experienced left-back Christian Fuchs agrees with the defensive midfielder as he said: “He’s unbelievable. The best penalty taker I’ve seen.”
However, their teammate Ayoze Perez doesn’t agree as Iheanacho is not a regular penalty taker for the former Premier League champions.
“When is he even taking penalties?” Perez said, but Ndidi replied, saying “You’ve not seen him? He never misses.”
Iheanacho is coming off his best season with Leicester having netted five goals in 12 starts in the Premier League.
The 23-year-old player has 25 caps for Nigeria and he has netted eight goals in the process.
