Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting emerged as the unlikely hero for Paris Saint-Germain as they booked their place in the UEFA Champions League semi-finals in Lisbon on Wednesday.
The Cameroon international came off the bench in the 79th minute with Atalanta holding a 1-0 lead at the time. Marquinhos levelled matters in the 90th minute following relentless PSG pressure before Choupo-Moting prodded home in the third minute of stoppage-time to lead the French champions into the final four.
PSG will now face either RB Leipzig or Atletico Madrid for a place in the final.
Choupo-Moting, 31, came close to leaving PSG in June at the expiry of the contract only for the club to extend his stay for the remainder of the prolonged 2019/20 season.
