Nigerian legend Augustine Azuka ‘Jay-Jay’ Okocha celebrates his 47th birthday today!
The attacking midfielder remains one of the most iconic African players of the 1990s and 2000s, with his career seeing him feature for the likes of Eintracht Frankfurt, Fenerbahce, Paris Saint-Germain and Bolton Wanderers, amongst others.
On the international front, he was a key for the Super Eagles helped Nigeria win the 1994 Africa Cup of Nations and the gold medal at the 1996 Olympic Games, as well as appearing in their 1994, 1998 and 2002 World Cup squads.
Renowned for his creativity, skill, dribbling and long-range goals, ‘Jay-Jay’ truly was a player so good they named him twice!
