Stellenbosch will be aiming to avoid a third straight Absa Premiership defeat when they host Golden Arrows at Tuks Stadium on Saturday 15 August 2020, kick-off at 13h30.

Stellenbosch suffered a second successive loss in the league when they were narrowly beaten 1-0 at home by title-chasing Mamelodi Sundowns on March 11. The Cape side has claimed 15 points from 11 home matches so far this season.

Arrows have played to two successive draws in the league, with their latest outing a goalless stalemate at home to Orlando Pirates on March 7. Abafana Bes’thende have claimed just 10 points from 11 away matches in the 20192/20 campaign.

In head-to-head stats, Stellenbosch and Arrows have met in just one previous top-flight league match. That encounter took place earlier this season, at the Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium in September 2019 and ended in a 2-2 draw. Abafana Bes’thende led 2-0 thanks to a brace from Knox Mutizwa, but Stellies fought back through Iqraam Rayners and Ryan Moon.

Stellenbosch’s line-up from their 1-0 loss to Sundowns in March 11: Langeveldt, Mobbie, Mthethwa, De Goede, Van Heerden, Msengi, Scott (Moon 69’), Mbekile, Karuru (Isaacs 79’), Skelem, Du Preez (Rayners 60’).

Arrows’ line-up from their 0-0 draw with Pirates on March 7: Mlungwana, Sibisi, Mathiane, Makhubela, Dube, Phiri, Lunga, Shitolo, Mtshali (S.Parusnath 60′), Mutizwa, Lamola.
