Atletico Madrid were knocked out of the UEFA Champions League on Thursday following a 2-1 loss to RB Leipzig in Lisbon.
The LaLiga club were favourites heading into the tie but a late Tyler Adams goal stunned the three time finalists.
It is a disappointing end to the competition for the Spanish giants who have come so close to winning the title on several occasions over the last few seasons.
Ghana international Thomas Partey was an unused substitute for Atleti while Malian midfielder Amadou Haidara featured off the bench for the German Bundesliga club.
Leipzig will face Paris-Saint Germain for a place in the final. The French club booked their spot in the final four with a dramatic 2-1 win over Atalanta in which Cameroon international Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting scored the match winner.
