AmaZulu will look to build momentum in the Absa Premiership when they host Baroka FC at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday 15 August 2020, kick-off at 13h30.

AmaZulu claimed a potentially key win in their hopes of avoiding relegation when they defeated log leaders Kaizer Chiefs 1-0 away from home on March 7, with a goal from Bonginkosi Ntuli. Usuthu have claimed 11 points from as many home matches this season.

Baroka broke a three-game losing streak by defeating Limpopo rivals Black Leopards 2-0 at home on March 7, with a brace of goals from rising star Evidence Makgopa. Bakgaga have claimed 10 points from 11 away matches in the 2019/20 campaign.

In head-to-head stats, Baroka and AmaZulu have met in five league matches since 2017/18. Both Usuthu and Bakgaga have claimed two wins, while one game has been drawn. The Durban side has recorded one win and one draw from their two home matches in the rivalry.

When the teams met earlier this season, at Peter Mokaba Stadium in October 2019, AmaZulu claimed a 1-0 win (the first away victory in the rivalry) thanks to a penalty from Bonginkosi Ntuli.

AmaZulu’s line-up from their 1-0 win over Chiefs on March 7: Mbatha, Masilela, Xoki, Booysen, Gumede, Ncube (P.Gumede 83′), Sithebe, Maduna, Magubane (Ncobeni 74′), Chawapihwa (Ngubane 77′), Ntuli.

Baroka’s line-up from their 2-0 win over Leopards on March 7: Chipezeze, Kgoetyane (Makume 82’), Shozi, Farmer, Gebhardt, Sampson (Mbulu 65’), Kambala, Mosele, Patjie, Mgaga, Makgopa.
