Bloemfontein Cetlic blew the Absa Premiership title race wide open with a 3-1 win over Kaizer Chiefs at Tuks Stadium on Wednesday evening.

Goals from Motebang Sera (two) and Victor Letsoalo spearheaded Phunya Selel Sele to a deserved win after Erick Mathoho had opened the scoring in South Africa’s capital.

Defeat leaves Chiefs six-points clear atop the league standings, but within reach of second placed Mamelodi Sundowns who have a game in hand.

Earlier today, SuperSport United moved up to third place on the log standings with a 2-0 win over Polokwane City. Ghampani Lungu and a late second from Bradley Grobler secured all three points for Matsatsantsa.

As a result Rise and Shine fell to the bottom of the league standings and now in real danger of relegation back to South Africa’s second tier.
