Mamelodi Sundowns will chase a third straight Absa Premiership win when they host Baroka FC at Dobsonville Stadium on Sunday 30 August 2020, kick-off at 18h00.


Sundowns picked up a second victory on the bounce when they defeated title rivals Kaizer Chiefs 1-0 away from home on August 27, bringing them right back into the picture for a third successive league title. The Brazilians have claimed 30 points from13 home matches so far this season.


Baroka come into the clash off the back of a 14th league loss of the season, having gone down 1-0 at home to Chippa United on August 22. Bakgaga have taken just 12 points from 13 away matches in the 2019/20 campaign.


In head-to-head stats, Sundowns and Baroka have met in seven league matches since the 2016/17 season. The Brazilians boast an unbeaten record in the rivalry, with four wins and three draws. The Tshwane club’s three home matches have brought them one victory and two draws.


When the teams met earlier this season, at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in November 2019, they played out a goalless stalemate.
