Stellenbosch will end their home fixtures for the 2019/20 Absa Premiership season with a clash against a confident AmaZulu at the Tuks Stadium on Wednesday 2 September 2020, kick-off at 18h00.

Stellenbosch continued their unbeaten run since the restart with a 1-1 draw at home to Chippa United on August 28, with only a last-gasp goal denying them a 10th win of the season. The Cape side has claimed 22 points from 14 home matches so far this term.

AmaZulu claimed a morale-boosting win by defeating Black Leopards 1-0 – with another goal from Bonginkosi Ntuli – on August 29, with the result boosting their hopes of survival. Usuthu have claimed just 12 points from 14 away matches in the 2019/20 campaign.

In head-to-head stats, Stellenbosch and AmaZulu have met in just one previous top-flight league match. That encounter took place earlier this season, at Princess Magogo Stadium on November 2019, and saw AmaZulu win 2-0 thanks to a brace from Bonginkosi Ntuli.

Stellenbosch’s line-up from their 1-1 draw with Chippa on August 28: Langeveldt, Mobbie, Van Heerden, De Goede, Robertson, Msengi, Johannes, Scott (Karuru 84′), Moon (Bergman 64′), Isaacs (Moorole 64′), Skelem (Adams’ 90’+1).

AmaZulu’s line-up from their 1-0 win over Leopards on August 29: Mbatha, M. Gumede, Xoki, Booysen, Mabiliso, Maduna (Hlalele 71′), Sithebe, Ncube (Darpoh 59′), Magubane (Chawapiwa 62′), Ntuli (Ncobeni 71′), Majoro.
