Black Leopards face a must-win Absa Premiership clash against Bidvest Wits at the FNB Stadium on Wednesday 2 September 2020, kick-off at 18h00.
Leopards suffered their 16th loss of the league season when they were beaten 1-0 at AmaZulu on August 29, with the result pushing them closer to the threat of relegation. Lidoda Duvha have claimed 18 points from 14 home matches so far this season.
Wits extended their unbeaten run in the league to nine matches with a 1-0 win at home to Kaizer Chiefs on August 30, with Bienvenu Eva Nga scoring an injury-time winner. The Clever Boys have claimed 24 points from 14 away matches in the 2019/20 campaign.
In head-to-head stats, Leopards and Wits have met in 19 league matches since 2000/01. The Clever Boys have claimed 11 wins compared to four for Lidoda Duvha, while four games have been drawn. The Limpopo side has claimed three wins from nine home matches in the rivalry, suffering four defeats in the process.
When the teams met earlier this season, at Bidvest Stadium in March 2020, Wits claimed a 1-0 home win thanks to a goal from Terrence Dzvukamanja. The Clever Boys are unbeaten in their last seven league matches against Lidoda Duvha.
