Tanzania captain Mbwana Samatta says he is living his dream as he is working with best people in football.
In January 2020, the striker moved to English club Aston Villa from Belgian giants Genk after finishing the season as the top goalscorer of the Pro League.
Samatta became the first Tanzania-born player to play and score in the Premier League when he netted on debut against AFC Bournemouth.
The 27-year-old player posted a photo of himself with Villa assistant manager John Terry on his official Instagram page on Wednesday.
“From the beginning, it has been a dream [working with the best in football],” Samatta wrote.
“I used to watch them play in a local joint; today let me admit I am lucky or maybe it is through the hard work that I am now working with them.
“It might be luck or hard work or both but I am happy with what I have achieved. I have not yet reached where I want to be.”
Terry, who is a former England and Chelsea captain, is considered to be one of the greatest central defenders of his generation, as well as one of the best English and Premier League defenders ever.
Samatta has netted 20 goals in 56 international matches for Tanzania.
