Daka says no to Spurs move - reports

Patson Daka has reportedly declined a move to English Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur.

According to the Evening Standard, Daka will not be leaving RB Salzburg in the current transfer window despite growing interest from Europe’s elite.

Daka’s representatives have reportedly informed Spurs that it is the Zambia international’s intention to remain with the Austrian champions.

The 21-year-old moved to Salzburg three years ago after helping his country to Africa U20 Cup of Nations glory and staring at the subsequent FIFA U20 World Cup in South Korea where Zambia reached the quarter-finals.

He has scored 38 goals in 84 appearances for Salzburg and started the 2020/21 season with four goals in 45 minutes in a 10-0 OFB-Cup win over Schwarz-Weiß Bregenz earlier this week.

Salzburg kick-off their Austrian Bundesliga campaign away to Wolfsberg later today.
