On the day of his 28th birthday we relive Karl Toko Ekambi’s best moments for Villarreal from the 2019/20 season.
The Cameroon international scored six goals in 18 appearances before joining Lyon on-loan in the January transfer window. Ekambi made an immediate impact at the French club and played a pivotal part in their run to the UEFA Champions League semi-finals.
He officially joined Lyon on a permanent deal in July and as he returned to France two years after joining the Yellow Submarine from SCO Angers.
In total, Ekambi scored 24 goals in 62 games for Villarreal across all competitions.
