Senegal goalkeeper Abdoulaye Diallo has joined EFL Championship side Nottingham Forest on a free transfer.
The 28-year-old goalkeeper was last on the books of Turkish Super Lig side Gençlerbirliği, where he made just four competitive appearances through the 2019-20 season.
The transfer sees Diallo link up with Forest manager Sabri Lamouchi, whom he worked with at French club Rennes.
Diallo was born in France and represented the European country at U-17 and U-19 level, but he switched international allegiance in 2015 and has accumulated 17 caps for the Teranga Lions. He was a squad member at the 2018 World Cup, as well as the 2017 and 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
Diallo has featured for Rennes in the French top flight, as well as in the Europa League, and was part of the squad which lifted the French Cup in 2018-19.
The shot-stopper started in the youth ranks of home town team Reims before joining Rennes’ youth academy, and made over 50 appearances on loan for Le Havre in the French second division, also playing for Turkish outfit Caykur Rizespor on loan.
Diallo will now compete with fellow goalkeepers Brice Samba and Jordan Smith for a starting berth.
