Mohamed Fares is reportedly on the verge of completing a move to Lazio.
According to Football Italia, the Algeria international arrived in Rome for his medical ahead of completing a proposed move from SPAL.
Fares joined SPAL on a permanent deal from Hellas Verona last year but featured just the eight times in Serie A due to constant injury problems.
SPAL ultimately suffered relegation following a 12-game winless run towards the end of the season, but Fares will be staying in the top division.
Lazio are expected to fork out around €10m in transfer fees to sign the 24-year-old who has been capped nine times by Algeria.
Fares was part of the Algerian side that won the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
