Moroccan playmaker Hakim Ziyech is set to miss the English Premier League match between Chelsea and Liverpool FC.
This has been confirmed by Chelsea manager Frank Lampard as the Blues look to record their second successive win the league.
Ziyech, who joined the London giants from Dutch giants Ajax Amsterdam in July 2020, is yet to make his official debut for the club.
The 27-year-old is currently nursing an injury and the Blues will have to do without the 2018 Dutch Footballer of the Year once again.
“Ben Chilwell is not ready for the game, and Christian Pulisic is not ready for the game,” Lampard said on the club’s official website.
“We’re hope they’re training and progressing over the next week or so.
“Hakim Ziyech is also not ready for the game, same story. Timo Werner is fit. Thiago [Silva] has been training with us for the last three or four days,” he added.
“We are just working with him on his fitness at the moment, so Liverpool will come too soon for him.”
Ziyech has played 32 international matches for Morocco and netted 14 goals in the process.
