Turkish Super Lig club Fenerbahce have emerged as favourites to sign Mbwana Ally Samatta.
According to Takvim as reported by Birmingham Live, the Tanazania international has agreed to join the Turkish club.
Samatta is reportedly set to join Fenerbahce on a season-long loan deal with an option to buy in place for the end of the season.
The 27-year-old only arrived at Villa from KRC Genk in January but has scored just one goal in 14 Premier League appearances.
Samatta scored for Villa in their EFL Cup final defeat to Manchester City and on Premier League debut, but hasn’t scored in all competitions since March.
Besiktas have also been heavily linked with his services this month while West Bromwich Albion were said to be monitoring his situation at Villa Park.
The Claret & Blue kick-off their English Premier League campaign at home to Sheffield United on Monday.
