Rennes have reportedly rejected an £11 million offer for Mbaye Niang.

According to TuttoMercatoWeb, West Bromwich Albion have had their offer turned away by the French Ligue 1 club.

Slaven Bilic is eager to add more signings to his squad before Monday’s transfer deadline following the club’s promotion back to the English Premier League.

The Baggies have made a slow start to the season and followed two straight defeats with a thrilling 3-3 draw at home to Chelsea at the Hawthorns, in a game which they held a 3-0 lead.

Niang scored 15 goals in 36 appearances across all competitions last season.

The 25-year-old moved to France from Serie A club Torino last year. He has also previously played for Caen, AC Milan, Montpellier, Genoa and Watford.

West Brom next travel to St. Mary’s to take on Southampton on Sunday.
