Papiss Cisse has officially joined Fenerbahce.
The Senegal international has signed a short-term deal with the Istanbul giants until the end of the 2020/21 season.
Cisse, 35, scored 22 goals in 32 Turkish Super Lig appearances for Alanyaspor last season but left the club at the expiry of his contract. He also scored four goals in six Turkish Cup games in leading his team to the final before defeat to Trabzonspor.
The former Newcastle United striker joins Tanzanian forward Mbwana Samatta in Istanbul following his move from Aston Villa.
Cisse’s fellow countryman Mame Baba Thiam is also contracted to the club, as is Cape Verde international Garry Rodrigues, Moroccan winger Nabil Dirar and Democratic Republic of Congo defender Marcel Tisserand.
Fenerbahce have conjured one win and two draws from their opening three games of the league season. They next face league leaders Fatih Karagümrük on Saturday evening.
