Cape Town City have completed the signing of Aubrey Ngoma.

The 31-year-old returns to the club two years after leaving for Mamelodi Sundowns.

Ngoma joined the Brazilians in January 2018 but struggled for game time and left the Gauteng club having managed just 14 appearances over two-and-a-half seasons.

The fromer Absa Premiership Midfielder of the Season scored seven goals and assisted a further 16 in 35 appearances across all competitions during the 2016/17 campaign.

Ngoma played a pivotal part in City’s run to the 2016 Telkom Knockout Cup title and had a haind in both goals as the club defeated SuperSport United 2-1 in the final.

The former University of Pretoria, Orlando Pirates and Mpumalanga Black Aces winger arrives at the club shortly after the sale of Kermit Erasmus who has completed a move to Chloorkop.

City kick-off their campaign with a MTN8 fixture away to Orlando Pirates on October 17.

The Citizens finished the 2019/20 season in sixth spot following an impressive run of form in the Premier Soccer League’s (PSL) bio-bubble.
