Richard Ofori looks set to join Orlando Pirates.
According to KickOff.com, the Ghana international will join the Soweto giants after Maritzburg United accepted an offer for his services.
On Tuesday, Team of Choice chairman Farook Kadodia confirmed that he has accepted an offer from the Buccaneers.
“I can now confirm that we’ve allowed Orlando Pirates to begin talks with Richard Ofori,” Kadodia told the media. “Once the deal is concluded they will make an announcement.”
Ofori, 26, still had one year left on his current deal at Harry Gwala Stadium. The shot-stopper joined United from Ghanaian Premier League club Wa All Stars in 2017.
He has been capped 15 times by the Black Stars.
Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper Reyaad Pieterse is reportedly being lined-up as a possible replacement for Ofori in Pietermaritzburg.
