Everton have excluded Yannick Bolasie from their 2020/21 English Premier League squad.

The Democratic Republic of Congo international was not part of the 25 players registered by the Toffees for the current campaign this week and now faces an uncertain few months in the final season of his Toffees contract.

Bolasie came close to securing a loan move to Championship club Middlesbrough on deadline day, but the deal broke down.

The 31-year-old hasn’t played for Everton since May 2018 and spent last season on-loan at Sporting Club de Portugal where he scored two goals in 25 appearances across all competitions.

Bolasie moved to Goodison Park from Crystal Palace in 2016 but a serious leg injury hampered his progress on Merseyside.

Over the last four years he’s made just 32 appearances for the club, having also spent time on-loan at Aston Villa and Anderlecht.

Everton currently lead the English Premier League having registered four wins and a draw from their opening five games this season.
