Nigerian winger Victor Moses is not yet up to speed in terms of his match fitness and sharpness, according to Spartak Moscow general director Shamil Gazizov.
Moses joined Spartak on loan from Chelsea midway through last month, having last played a competitive match in August when he was still on the books of Internazionale.
The 29-year-old has featured in three Russian Premier League matches thus far, accumulating a total of 182 minutes of playing time as well as a goal against Krasnodar on October 24, with coach Domenico Tedesco gradually bringing Moses back up to full speed.
Speaking after Spartak’s 1-0 loss to Rostov on Saturday, Gazizov told Sport Express: “I will not rate it as a percentage. I see that Victor is not yet fully ready, but it is clear that he shows a high class of the game.
“I think that today he played very well, as far as his physical readiness allows. At least I can see it. Let the following experts discuss and speak.”
Spartak Moscow have an obligation to buy Moses if they qualify for next season’s UEFA Champions League and the winger features in a certain number of matches.
