Togo and Egypt are set to meet in the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier on Tuesday.


Kick-off is at 18h00 CAT.


The match will take place at the Stade de Kegue in the capital and largest city of Togo, Lome.


The Sparrow Hawks suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat to Egypt in a Group G match which was played in Cairo on Saturday.


The result saw Togo remain fourth on the Group G standings with one point from three matches and they are now seeking revenge.


The player to watch out for in the Sparrow Hawks squad is striker Fo-Doh Kodjo Laba, who has been in top form for Al Ain in Arabian Gulf League this season


Meanwhile, Egypt will be oozing with confidence after recording a victory over Togo at home and they are now looking to complete a double.


As a result, the Pharaohs are now placed second on the Group G standings with five points from three matches.


The key player for the seven-time African champions is Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet, who is on the books of English Premier League club Aston Villa.


The last time Togo hosted Egypt was in January 2000.


It was Togo, who emerged 1-0 winners over Egypt in a friendly match which was played in Lome.
