Swallows FC ended Saturday’s round of fixtures top of the 2020-21 DStv Premiership standings despite a 0-0 draw at home to TS Galaxy at Dobsonville Stadium.

The Dube Birds moved above Orlando Pirates on goal difference as six teams remained unbeaten in South Africa’s top-flight ahead of Sunday’s action.

Pirates came from behind to defeat SuperSport United 2-1 at Orlando Stadium. The Buccaneers scored through Zakhele Lepasa and Tshegofatso Mabasa after Teboho Mokoena had given the visitors an early lead.

Kaizer Chiefs’ slow start to the season continued as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Golden Arrows at the Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium.

Khama Billiat assisted Leonardo Castro for a quick-fire brace as the Amakhosi hit the front following Siboniso Conco’s opener, but Nduduzo Sibiya ensured a share of the spoils for Abafana Bes’thende.

Elsewhere, Stellenbosch FC defeated Chippa United 2-0 at Danie Craven Stadium. Junior Mendieta and Nathan Sinkala were on target for the hosts as they returned to winning ways.

Black Leopards were also on the winning side for the first time this season as they defeated Maritzburg United 1-0 at Thohoyandou Stadium in what was Dylan Kerr’s first game back at the club. Rodney Ramagalela scored the decisive goal as the Team of Choice remained rock bottom of the standing, having yet to conjure a point.
