Al Ahly head into Friday night’s Caf Champions League final hoping to win a record-extending ninth continental crown.

The Red Devils will face Egyptian rivals Zamalek in the biggest club game on the African continent. Former Mamelodi Sundowns boss Pitso Mosimane, who masterminded the Brazilians final win over the White Knights in 2016, has been entrusted with leading Al Ahly to their first Champions League title in seven years.

Al Ahly have lost in two finals since being crowned champions of Africa for an eighth time in 2013. The legendary Mohamed Aboutrika found the back of the net in home and away ties versus Orlando Pirates in a 3-1 aggregate win for Egypt’s most successful club.
