Senegalese star Sadio Mane failed to impress BBC pundit Clinton Morrison during Liverpool FC’s midweek defeat to Atalanta.

The 28-year-old winger played the entire match as his side Liverpool succumbed to a 2-0 defeat to Atalanta in the UEFA Champions League match on Wednesday.

Mane has failed to score in his last three matches for the English giants and Morrison believes that the 2019 CAF African Footballer of the Year was well off the pace during the match against Atalanta.

Morrison explained that he has never seen the winger give the ball away as often as he did against the Italian club.

“Sadio Mane has been well off it,” Morrison said on Express.

“Something’s not right. I’ve never seen Sadio Mane give the ball away as much as he has tonight. I’m one of his biggest fans but he’s been really sloppy.”

Mane remains a key player for the Reds having played 13 matches across all competitions this season and netted five goals in the process.

The skillful player will be looking to add to his tally when Liverpool face Brighton and Hove Albion in the Premier League match on Saturday.

Mane is among 11 players nominated for 2020 The Best FIFA Men’s Player award.

He finished fourth for the Ballon d’Or and fifth for The Best FIFA Men’s Player award in 2019.
