Mamelodi Sundowns are back on top of South Africa’s DStv Premiership after cruising to a 3-0 win over Stellenbosch in one of four matches played in the top flight on Saturday 28 November.

Goals from Peter Shalulile, Kermit Erasmus and Themba Zwane at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium saw the Brazilians leapfrog Swallows FC back to the summit of the standings – with a haul of 13 points from a possible 15.

The afternoon games both ended 1-1, with Orlando Pirates needing an injury-time equaliser from Tshegofatso Mabasa to salvage a point at home to Baroka FC, while TS Galaxy pulled off a similar trick against Golden Arrows thanks to Shaune Mogaila’s late leveller.

The night game was another 1-1 draw, with 10-man AmaZulu holding out for a 1-1 draw at home to Cape Town City.

Usuthu’s Lehlohonolo Majoro both scored the opening goal and was sent off with about 20 minutes to play, while the Citizens’ Ghanaian striker Prince Opoku Agyemang scored his first goal in South African football in between.

The weekend’s DStv Premiership wraps up on Sunday 29 November with Chippa United hosting Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.
