Egyptian superstar Mohamed Salah was visibly angry as he was replaced by Sadio Mane during Liverpool FC’s clash with Brighton and Hove Albion.

The speedy winger saw his goal ruled out by Video Assistant Referee (VAR) with Liverpool star barely a toe offside on Saturday afternoon.

The Premier League encounter ultimately ended in a 1-1 draw at the AMEX Stadium in Brighton.

Klopp has since played down Salah’s reaction following the game, saying he understands how the two-time CAF African Footballer of the Year feels.

“The day when Mohamed Salah is smiling when he leaves the pitch, something is really wrong,” Klopp said on King Fut.

“I get it 100 per cent but the problem is he was out with COVID for 10 days. He trained one, played 60 minutes and then plays again three days later.

“We just have to be careful. He doesn’t like that, we know that, but that’s it.”

Mane also had a goal ruled out by VAR after replacing Salah as he was offside when he headed home Andy Robertson’s free-kick.

Salah and Mane are expected to start for the Reds when they take on Ducth giants Ajax Amsterdam in a must-win UEFA Champions League match on Tuesday.

A victory for Liverpool will see them qualify for the Round of 16.
