On this day in 2015, Riyad Mahrez scored his first English Premier League hat-trick.
The Algeria international netted three times in a 3-0 win over Swansea City to send Leicester City top of the standings. Mahrez scored 17 goals, assisting a further 10, in 37 appearances for the Foxes that season as they went on to clinch the Premier League crown.
It was a breakthrough campaign for the winger who earned a move to Manchester City in 2018.
Mahrez scored his second Premier League hat-trick while playing for the Cityzens just last weekend, netting three times in a 5-0 win over Burnley.
The 29-year-old, who captained the Desert Foxes to 2019 Africa Cup of Nations glory, has scored 29 goals and assisted the same amount in 107 matches for Manchester City.
